An often overlooked topic in climate policy is the effort needed to protect soil, which is losing its organic content and 52% of the world's agricultural soils stand already degraded. The world risks seeing a decline of 40% in its food supply by 2045, unless strong policy efforts are made today.

Mr. Ugo Astuto, the Ambassador of the European Union to India, was formally presented with the EIBC special report on climate, In New Delhi.
This followed a successful state visit by Ms. Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission. During her visit, the topic of climate cooperation was a key matter of discussion towards promoting bilateral relations.

In association with the Embassy of India in Brussels and Isha Foundation, the Europe India Business Council held a special event on climate co-operation between India and EU, at the Press Club Brussels Europe on the Monday 11 April 2022.
The event featured the launch of a new report on climate co-operation between India and the EU, accompanied by a keynote speech by the philanthropist, author, and inspirational leader, Sadhguru, who is in midst of a 30,000 km motorcycle ride from Europe to India, to raise awareness for the #SaveSoil campaign.
Prominent members of the press, policy makers, diplomats, business leaders and opinion makers on climate policy were present at the event in Brussels, making for a rewarding discussion on the topic.
